Nycterent is an independant game being developed by @jasedeacon in Sydney, Australia. The concepts are still being developed each and every day, but the basic premise is that you start in space, with a small shuttle and limited life support. You must explore, mine, build and fight in order to survive the perils of space.

An iterative approach is being taken to development which means that as features are added, a new version is released for people to play. This means that the versions released early on are not complete in any way and may be quite broken, but over time with each new version it will get more complete and more polished.

The engine custom-built on top of OpenTK, written in C#. Cross-platform is a goal (hence using OpenGL via OpenTK) with all 3 platforms being worked on at the same time (Windows, Mac, Linux)
